The Young Friends of DBA are helping to grow the Bone Marrow Registry one swab at a time. This group of Foundation supporters, ages 21 to 34, hosts numerous events including the summertime Party with a Purpose at the South Jersey shore, and multiple bone marrow registry drives at hospitals, on college campuses, and during community gatherings

Through the DBA Foundation’s swabbing events, Dan’s daughter Molly and his cousin Harry were found to be perfect matches for other patients in need and, without a moment’s hesitation, both donated their bone marrow. Molly’s story can be found in the News section of our website

In addition, we will partner with DKMS, an international non-profit organization, to coordinate bone marrow registry drives at schools, hospitals, and community events. It is especially vital that young people sign up for the registry, making this an ideal initiative for Young Friends of DBA.

As Young Friends continues to expand, we are looking for volunteers to help us plan and organize our upcoming fundraisers and bone marrow registry drives. If you'd like to volunteer or receive more information, click here to contact us.
